Not too long ago I made my opinion known about endorsements by certain people who seem to think very highly of themselves since they believe that their endorsement matters more than the person that lives next door to you. Granted the guy might not actually be a guy, or that guy might be a complete and utter moron, but the point is that when it comes to endorsing a candidate it all comes down to opinions and those are varied as much as your average snow flakes. Why do people so freely share their opinion on who they would vote for? Read more…

If you’re interested in blogging, or more to the point, ways in which to make money blogging, improve readership, and perhaps if you’re lucky retire early and live off the income of your blog alone then I have a suggestion for you. Go check out the ongoing resource of tested and proven information at BloggerNoob.com and subscribe to the feed while you’re there to make life easier on yourself. Aside from the occasional sponsored postings he is pretty straightforward about the ways he has increased his reader base, his income via advertising, and other means, and overall has a lot of information to share and isn’t afraid to give you details you won’t see elsewhere on other “How to make money” type blogs.
Damn, all that and I barely had to run a spell check on it too, must be one of my good days. (I hope Noob doesn’t mind my newly made Noob image.)

I recently purchased this webcam after reviewing several models that were advertised over the Christmas shopping season. I usually did a quick comparison to see if the cameras met some basic needs before even looking at the detailed specifications. When I saw the QuickCam Pro 9000 I really liked what it had to offer and the resolution on the camera was quite a change from the many cameras offered these days. I know there are probably others with similar perks, but this webcam seemed to be a complete package to me and thus why I purchased it. Read more…

Once again the joys of immigration and the lacking ability of people to actually learn our language (that’s English for anyone still wondering) comes into current events. According to this article, on a BBC news site of all things (damn, now the British know about it too, but at least they speak English), there were some details about Hispanics and the upcoming elections. Of course there were some references made during this article that caught my eye and I thought it best to share them with you. Read more…

I watched it when it was first released and was pretty excited about seeing it past the teasing trailer that was gracing theaters and homes alike. I can’t say I was actually disappointed as much as left wondering about a lot of things the movie brought up during its short duration. I guess this might be a spoiler in some regards so don’t read any further else be scarred for life, or at least find out things you might want to wait till you actually see the movie for yourself. We live in a VERY uptight world as you may or may not have noticed. I just ran across this article and I was truly amazed (not really considering history) at how the simple sight of an ass could cost anyone $1.4 million. Is an ass that offensive? Is it going to corrupt the minds of our youth? Last I looked seeing ass didn’t cause homicidal behavior, or the need to go ass slaying. With all that’s going on in our country is the sight of some posterior really that much to worry about? What is with all this useless fear and loathing of seeing some nudity? Read more…

For those of us who like an occasional distraction while sitting at our desks, and like a bit of strategy too I will suggest the following activity. Introducing one of the few online strategy games that is fun to play and it actually has some sense of planning and development versus most of the games I’ve run across. Allow me to introduce the game named “Travian” … Read more…

Once again the mighty Noob of Blogging, at “Make Money Blog” has proclaimed a contest in the name of link building. All you have to do is mention his blog (imagine that) and of course link to said blog, and he even got detailed with the anchor text to said link. You think the Noob is detailed oriented or what? So, when you get a chance, go check out the Noob, his Blog, and the contest and perhaps you might wish to join in on the first official Link Contest of 2008.
As far as the Ferrari goes, I’m hoping that the contest prize is worth winning. (hint hint)
Respectably yours,
Raven, who just got up and is half awake, or half asleep, you choose.

While catching up on all things current and such I run across this article aptly named “The Right Shade of Black”. Poor Mr. Obama can’t seem to catch a break from some skeptical African-Americans for some reason. Well, actually there is a reason, and it’s actually racial in origin … imagine that these days … shocking isn’t it? Read more…

Ah Friday, no other day like it (especially with an upcoming three day weekend) when you think about it. So, I was wondering if I should upgrade my template on ye ole blog, but not sure what look I want to attain here. I found this BlackMaster theme and even though there is a cost involve I was impressed with the overall look. I do notice that unlike many blogs I drop by most don’t really go for the black background (Oh the joys of being different) so I’m wondering if I should go for a lighter (but not too light you know) look at least when it comes to the text areas.
So I’m asking you the reader to drop a comment or email to let me know if you have come across a particular theme worth using or looking at. I think I’d still like to stick to a 3 column, but depending on the theme I might go to 2, or even 4 depending on the theme and its options. I’d prefer widget ready, but I’m not averse to having to tweak it manually with some code to make it work either.
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions
