Expensive A$$
We live in a VERY uptight world as you may or may not have noticed. I just ran across this article and I was truly amazed (not really considering history) at how the simple sight of an ass could cost anyone $1.4 million. Is an ass that offensive? Is it going to corrupt the minds of our youth? Last I looked seeing ass didn’t cause homicidal behavior, or the need to go ass slaying. With all that’s going on in our country is the sight of some posterior really that much to worry about? What is with all this useless fear and loathing of seeing some nudity?
I guess if ABC had some soft-core porn gracing the television I can see where some prudish folks would be lighting their torches and raising a pitchfork as they marched to the headquarters of ABC. But since that’s not the case it’s just another fine case of the FCC overreacting to the public outcry cause someone revealed some skin via some broadcasting medium. I think nudity is the least of our worries in the country, never mind the world around us.
Get real people, if parents are afraid that seeing some female ass is going to turn their children into some heathens then perhaps they need to beef up on their parenting skills to avoid such a possible nightmare from happening. Then again, if a parent thinks that seeing a glimpse of “some nudity is something vulgar”, then I believe we need to be handing out fines to the parents in question.
