Social Scene
I’m not too sure where this post is going to end up (imagine that, huh), but as I take a step back and look at other blogs and their owners I was really getting lost in the social aspect of blogging. We all seem to network in many different ways and it’s always a great experience to find someone who has a similar sense of humor, view on life, or just a particular subject. I’ll just throw some names out of widgets that seem to be sparking social interaction in some form or another. I might focus more on each at a later time when the urge hits me. So, here we go:
FuelMyBlog: It’s both a nice social arena and of course the need for “Fuel” and exposure for your blog. I’ve seen some very interesting works and the people behind them. I’m not expecting much traffic increase, but of those I have met already I have been pleased with the interactions.
MyBlogLog & BlogCatalog: Perhaps it’s just me, but these two blend in and have so much in common that I tend to forget which one is which when I check out who has visited my site recently. I know that there are differences between the two services, but I don’t seem to be only one that has joined both services per visitation results. Does anyone have a preference on these two? I doubt I’ll drop the other one, but I’m just wondering if I’m missing out on the perks of one of these two.
Entrecard: At first I wasn’t sure how this service would come out in the end, but I was truly amazed at the interaction of the community. The methodology of the card drops, the advertising strategies and the list goes on. When I initially signed up the site hits were similar to watching piranhas during a feeding frenzy. The service has some seriously dedicated users and I look forward to experiencing other blogs in the network.
Utterz: The Herd that wants to be heard. I like the flexibility of mobile blogging, and spur of the moment thoughts and images can be a nice change to the sitting and writing on a particular subject.
Anyone have anything to add?
